Eric holds a BComm, DiplT, CPA, CGA and is a certified accountant and technology specialist. He provides expertise in the selection, implementation, and support of accounting systems including Sage 300, Sage 50 and Softrak Adagio.
Eric’s extensive accounting, tax, and technical knowledge allows him to communicate effectively with both controllers and their technical staff to make precise recommendations. The end result is an IT solution that addresses all situations including accounting and tax implications. Eric has successfully implemented numerous accounting and reporting solutions for aboriginal, non-profit and wholesale distribution organizations. Prior to Hoy & Associates, Eric was an IT consultant with BDO Dunwoody, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Elections Canada.
Eric is a past director for a number of non-profit organizations including BC Children’s Hospital (Treasurer); Chinese Cultural Centre (Vice-Chair and Treasurer) and Independent Computer Consultants Association (President). In his spare time Eric enjoys playing roller hockey, collecting art, and watching the Vancouver Canucks and BC Lions with his wife and twin boys.
